Pat Conroy addresses Parliament on Yerin Eleanor Duncan’s work & funding requirements

Earlier this week, Pat Conroy Member for Shortland, NSW addressed Parliament on the work Yerin Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Health Services does in closing the gap in health outcomes for the Indigenous Australian community on the Central Coast, watch the video below.

He addresses the fact that our funding levels have not increased in the past eight years, despite the challenges faced, which include a growing population, a growing demand for services, short supply of bulk-billed support services for the chronically ill, limited places available for children in drug and alcohol rehab facilities and a shortage of foster carers for Aboriginal children who are disproportionately represented in out-of-home care.
